My reiki master thesis project was an experiment on reiki’s effect on the growth of a plant. I picked Arabidopsis Thaliana for its quick life cycle. While I had certain limitations doing this project (not done in a lab setting), I spent 5 months tending to two groups of plants on my windowsill - a control group of 5 pots and a reiki group of 5 pots receiving just 10-mins of reiki a day - from seedling to the end of their life cycle.
I wanted to see if and how the plants, as a living organism like ourselves, would benefit from such a short treatment over time and if there was a difference, how it could be used as a reflection of what we could do for ourselves and the changes that could happen within us with even just 10-mins of self-reiki daily over a period of time.
I had no expectations in terms of results so as everything unfolded, it felt like magic and a beautiful surprise!
I have prepared a slide presentation for anyone interested in seeing the details of the experiment. Feel free to contact me and I will gladly share the presentation with you.
